Dr. Paul Lee Salisbury, III

A life-long North Carolinian, Dr. Lee Salisbury attended Broughton High School in Raleigh then earned his undergraduate degree at Davidson College. He received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of North Carolina School of Dentistry, then went on to pursue additional educational opportunities by completing a two year general practice residency at UNC Hospitals. This rigorous program provided considerable experience in oral surgery, conscious sedation, periodontics, prosthodontics, and management of complex medically – compromised patients . As a result of this advanced training, Dr. Salisbury has maintained a conscious sedation permit every year he has been in practice, giving many anxious patients their only opportunity to receive dental care.

In 1980 Dr. Salisbury moved to Winston-Salem to take a faculty position in the newly created Department of Dentistry at Wake Forest University School of Medicine. During his 18 year career there, he was able to enjoy teaching, research, and patient care with an emphasis on working with cancer patients. He ultimately became the Director of Hospital Dental Services. This phase of Dr. Salisbury’s career was highlighted by his election as President of the American Association of Hospital Dentists.

Dr. Salisbury has earned several awards for excellence in dental practice. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral Medicine and a Fellow in the Academy of General Dentistry. He has also been inducted into the American College of Dentists, a prestigious organization that recognizes the importance of ethics in dentistry.

In 1998 Dr. Salisbury opened his own private practice of general dentistry at 1551 Westbrook Plaza Dr. in Winston-Salem. After 11 successful years, he welcomed the opportunity to serve patients alongside his colleague and friend, Dr. Dan Driscoll, when they merged their practices in 2009.

Dr. Salisbury and his wife Melody are the parents of 6 children, one of whom graduated from dental school in May of 2009 and serves in the US Air Force. When not caring for his patients, Dr. Salisbury enjoys outdoor activities such as hiking and fishing, volunteering on dental mission trips both locally and abroad, and participating as an active member of his church. In serving his community, Dr. Salisbury has been chosen as the dental representative on the Forsyth County Board of Health.

Dr. Dan Driscoll

Driscoll Dr. Daniel Driscoll graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a Doctorate in Dental Surgery in May of 1999. Upon graduation, he completed a fellowship in complex restorative care in Chapel Hill then established his own practice in Winston-Salem in 2000.

Committed to life-long learning, Dr. Driscoll has attended the prestigious L.D. Pankey Dental Institute in Florida and is currently pursuing advanced accreditation from the Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. He recently received his Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry, a distinct honor for dentists.

Dr. Driscoll volunteers as a team dentist for the Wake Forest University Sports Medicine Department, fabricating mouthguards and treating athletes' dental injuries. He also has been on 3 international medical/dental mission trips, and enjoys doing local dental ministry with the residents in the Samaritan Ministries Cornerstone Program.

Dr. Driscoll and his wife, Beth, have three active children with whom they spend most of their free time watching and coaching their sports teams, camping and having fun.

Mesha Hearn

Mesha Registered Dental Hygienist

Mesha received her Associates Degree in Applied Science in 1992 from Guilford Technical Community College in Jamestown, NC where she made Deans List and received scholarships from The Blue Ridge Dental Society and The North Carolina Dental Society. She began practicing in Elkin, North Carolina, moved to Charleston South Carolina in 1994, then to Winston-Salem in 1996. She specializes in periodontal therapy, cosmetic and restorative dentistry.

Mesha has a long standing commitment to her patients. Her philosophy is to provide exceptional comprehensive dental care with professional excellence. She believes the patients well being is of foremost concern. She strives to ensure that patients’ oral, as well as overall health, is maintained at the optimal level throughout life. Mesha enjoys interacting with our patients and getting to know our patients on a personal level. She has a gentle, compassionate approach to hygiene to give each patient the care they expect. She strives to provide patients with the most current information about dental issues, problems and treatments because she believes informed patients make better decisions about their health and well-being.

Kelly Burchette

Kelly Burchette Registered Dental Hygienist

Kelly received a certificate in Dental Assisting, in 2004, and her Associates Degree in Applied Science in 2006, from Wytheville Community College in Wytheville, VA.

She then moved to NC and began working in Pediatric Dentistry. Her strengths include Pediatrics, Periodontal Therapy, Cosmetic & Restorative Dentistry. After starting her career in Dental Assisting Kelly quickly found her passion for Dental Hygiene. Her background in dental assisting has been instrumental in total patient care, with a strong understanding of dental fears.

Kelly and her husband Josh enjoy their son Luke, and live in Elkin, NC.

Selena Ferguson

Ferguson

Selena graduated with a dental assistant degree from Guilford Technical Community College in 1996. After 13 years of working as a dental assistant, Selena came to join our staff in October 2008. She has experience as an assistant with general, implant and cosmetic dentistry. Selena’s charismatic personality brings joy to patients by allowing them to relax before any dental procedure.

Paris Cook

Certified Dental Assistant

Paris received her diploma in Dental Assisting from Forsyth Technical Community College in 2005, after working several years in retail in customer care. After joining the Enlighten Dental Team in 2006, she has continued to build her dental knowledge with concentration on the special needs patients, IV sedation and surgical procedures.

Lindsay Nance

Lindsay received her diploma in Dental Assisting from Forsyth Technical Community College in 2008, and certification in March 2009. Lindsay has a passion for personal growth and education. She enjoys sharing her knowledge with patients and helping them understand their dental care. She values the additional training and insight she receives from Dr. Salisbury and Dr. Driscoll and enjoys helping others in the same way.

Cindy Pritchett

Cindy Pritchett Cindy has come to Dr. Salisbury & Driscoll with 31 years accounting and banking experience. She attended Hardbargers Business College in Raleigh, NC and Vance Granville Community College in Henderson, NC.

Cindy has worked in Family Dentistry for the last 10 years providing great patient care. Her main focus is insurance and collections.

She enjoys providing patients with the knowledge needed to understand their insurance and answer any questions they may have.

Mary Jane Miller

Mary Jane graduated in 1983 from Marshall University with an Associate Degree. After working in the areas of accounting, workmen's compensation insurance and hemodialysis patient care, she started in the dental field in January 2000. She takes great pleasure in working with each patient and getting to know them personally.

Teresa Sparks

Teresa Sparks Teresa has enjoyed working in Dentistry for 25 years. She graduated from WCC with an Associate of Applied Science in Business Administration. While attending college, she started working as a dental assistant part time, upon graduation she continued working in the dental field as an Office Manager. She has worked in Oral Surgery, Perio and General Dentistry and has enjoyed her years of service in dentistry. Teresa has a broad knowledge base in dentistry due to working alongside many great Dentist in North Carolina and Tennessee.

Teresa enjoys getting to know her patients and making sure they have received the best treatment available, so when they leave they are smiling.
